Warriors Day Parade a Naval Affair (page 3)

This years CNE Warriors Day Parade was a tribute to 90th anniversary of Canada's Navy and the salute was taken by Vice-Admiral Greg Maddison, the Chief of Martime Staff. The parade was lead through the Prince's Gates by the Honorary Parade Marshal, Colonel The Honourable Hal Jackman, he was riding in an Ontario Regiment jeep accompanied by his AedC, and fellow member Captain John Stewart. The 79th parade also recognized the 125th anniversary of The Queen's Own Rifles and the 50th anniversary of the start of the Korean War. On the reviewing stand members of the Warrior's Day Parade Council, including RCMI members, Colonel the Honourable Lincoln Alexander, MGen Bruce Legge, Col Rob Roy, Capt John Stewart. Several Institue members were instrumental in the smooth running of the parade. They were Maj John Fogg, Capt Stu Kellock, Lt Phil Booker.
