Three day return bus trip from Perth to Shark Bay

A view looking over the driver's shoulder.

The highway was straight for the next 140km. The marks on the windscreen are insect impacts.

A view out the side window of the bus.

Picnic break on the side of the road.

No Ladies or Gentleman here, its Shielas and Blokes.

How the experienced traveller goes into the "Outback". A Kangaroo bumper, a two way radio, two gerry cans of gasoline, naphtha for lanterns, and propane for cooking. That was only on the outside of the vehicle.

A couple of birds looking for visitor droppings.

Prevailing and constant winds off the Indian Ocean bend the trees.

Monkey Mia and the feeding of wild Dolphins

Tourists wade into the water to get closer to the dolphins.

Park Rangers provide a briefing and anwser questions.

A Park Ranger looks on as a tourist takes a photograph as she feeds a dolphin.

The Park Rangers select the tourists to feed the dolphin. The Ranger provides the food, and supervises the feeding.

The Pinnacles (Nambung National Park)

There were pinnacles to the left of us,

and pinnacles to the right of us.

Tourist shot, the picture was taken by balancing the camera on another pinnacle.

Despite a constant wind off the Indian Ocean, the area around the Pinnacles was swarming with flies. The mark just above the horizon is a fly passing right in front of the camera lens.

The trail passing in front of the tourist observation point.

Sand with the consistency of talcum powder on the move.

A close-up of a pinnacle.

Either another pinnacle, or a very stiff kangaroo.
